We are happy to assist people with a disability on their visit to the Vindonissa Legionary Trail.

Getting here

For those arriving by car, disabled parking spaces are available on the premises of Königsfelden Psychiatric Services. These are only a few hundred metres away from the Legionary Trail visitor centre (Königsfelden Abbey barn) (level path).

Bus lines 361, 362 and 363 run from Brugg railway station to the "Windisch Löwen" or "Windisch Zentrum" stops. The Legionary Trail visitor centre (Königsfelden Abbey barn) is 9 minutes' walk from the bus stop. This route involves crossing some roads. The terrain is flat.

  • Wheelchair users: The exhibition area includes several buildings and various outdoor facilities. The various stops are all wheelchair accessible (except section 3, Cloaca Maxima). The paths between them are mostly made of gravel or cobblestone and are directly or indirectly passable by wheelchair.
  • Blind and visually impaired: The exhibition is only suitable for blind persons with assistants and, to a limited extent, for the visually impaired. The route between the stops is marked with large red symbols on the floor. There is a large column in front of each stop. The exhibition area includes several buildings and various outdoor facilities. Audio guides with various themed tours are available, which automatically provide information near each stop. Some objects can be touched by the blind and visually impaired. There is no Braille labelling.
  • Hearing impaired: Printed information is available for all parts of the exhibition. Audio guides with various themed tours are available, which automatically provide information near the respective stops. The audio guides are suitable for hearing aid users.
  • People with intellectual disabilities: There are no labels in simple language.
