Vindonissa Legionary Trail for schools

School lessons in the legionary camp

The Vindonissa Legionary Trail offers guided tours, play tours and overnight stays in Roman-style accommodation for schools and kindergartens. Some of the offers can be booked in English on request.

In the Vindonissa legionary camp, 6,000 legionaries once prepared for action. Today, Vindonissa is also an extracurricular place of learning, where school pupils can find out all about legionaries and Romans. In addition to play tours, the Vindonissa Legionary Trail offers exciting guided tours, workshops and overnight stays in the faithfully reconstructed garrison accommodation ("contubernia").
