The museum of Wettingen Abbey is open from 4 April to 2 November 2025. The abbey church and some other areas are not accessible due to restoration work.

  • The abbey church is closed in 2025 for restoration, the stained glass windows in the cloister are not accessible
  • The museum is open from 4 April to 2 November 2025 (Friday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.)

Some areas of the abbey are closed for restoration (including the abbey church). The following reduced admission prices will therefore apply in 2025:

  • Reduced admission: Schools, families and groups of 10 or more (see admission prices for details), Kulturlegi (50% off the regular museum entrance fee), Guests with disabilities (reduced group admission price, 1 accompanying person free of charge)
  • Schools in the canton of Aargau benefit from a 50% reduction on travel, admission and the education programme ("Kultur macht Schule" grant). This offer should be booked directly through Museum Aargau.

Gift vouchers are available at the ticket office and online (in German).
