The only talking castle in Switzerland

The only talking castle in Switzerland

Wildegg Castle is the only talking castle in Switzerland. Meet some of its former inhabitants in the museum and listen to hunting stories.

The living and working rooms of the castle are furnished as they were in around 1800, and bear witness to the sophisticated lifestyle and exquisite taste of the von Effinger family. On the tour you will meet the former inhabitants in talking portraits. These provide an entertaining and informative insight into the history of the castle from the Middle Ages to the 20th century.

Children can dress up as knights and damsels in the old castle barn, set the table in the children's castle or saddle their wooden horse in the stables.

Be sure to visit our gardens too!
