Habsburg Castle was built around 1025 by Radbot, Count of Klettgau. In the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s, archaeologists from the Canton of Aargau examined the ruins. They found all kinds of seeds and biological waste, but no evidence of a garden.
This small paradise garden is therefore an interpretation. It contains everything that medieval people imagined belonged in an ideal garden: a wall, seating and flowers.
